Deb Arnold, our girls chorus director, has been singing barbershop music since she was 15! Before directing the girls chorus last year, Deb was the Festival's lead section leader for years. She brings experience as a former assistant director for White River Sound Chorus (in Indianapolis) and as a current music team member and section leader with Pride of Kentucky Chorus. Deb has a fine musical ear and a great way of working with singers to help them improve.
Deb has been a member of several Sweet Adeline quartets, singing either lead or baritone. With On The Edge quartet, she won a regional championship (in Harmony Heartland Region #4) and competed internationally. And, of course, she has sung with quite a few singers in the Festival's teaching quartets. She can even sing tenor in a pinch!
In her non-musical life, Deb is an interior decorator with a firm in downtown Louisville.
